Getting from Auckland to Fiji (and return)

Fiji is a country in the South Pacific Ocean which includes 332 islands, out of which only 110 are inhabited. Fiji is best known for the varied coral reefs. It is a land of tropical rainforests, superb beaches, coconut plantations and fire-cleared hills.

Fiji is located between New Zealand and Hawaii and is well served by flights from both New Zealand (flights from Auckland, Christchurch and seasonally from Wellington) and the USA.

Flights from Auckland (airport code: AKL) to Fiji

Auckland International Airport (AKL) is the largest and busiest airport in New Zealand. It is a central hub for Air New Zealand and a secondary hub for Pacific Blue.

Nadi International Airport (NAN) is the main international airport in Fiji and a main hub for Air Pacific. Direct flights from Auckland are operated by Air New Zealand and Air Pacific. The flight time is about 4 h. Single fares start at NZ$352 on Air Pacific, regardless of when you plan to fly.

Nausori International Airport (SUV) is the second international airport in Fiji and is located close to the capital of Suva. There aren’t any direct flights from Auckland. The only connecting flights are through Nadi.
